Following the hadith of the Prophet (ﷺ): "He who does not thank people does not thank Allah" and in appreciation of his remarkable efforts, Misurata University held a ceremony in honor of its former president, Prof. Altaher Mustafa Alhubgi, on Thursday morning, March 3, 2022, at the auditorium of the Faculty of Science.
The ceremony started with reciting verses from the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem. After that, a glimpse of the important administrations and research centers which the former president was responsible for during his presidency was presented.
A number of speeches were given starting with the speech of Prof. Mohamed Abdullah Danfour, President of Misurata University, in which he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Altaher Mustafa Alhubgi for his hard work during his presidency. The other speeches were then given in which all the attendees expressed their appreciation to the former president for his commitment and good manners.
In his speech, Prof. Altaher Mustafa Alhubgi expressed his happiness and gratitude for this honorary ceremony, asking Allah to bless all the attendees and accept his hard work.
The ceremony was attended by the President of Misurata University, Prof. Mohamed Abdullah Danfour; the Vice President For Academic Affairs, Mohamed Alfaitory Alsharkasi; and the University Secretary-General, Eng. Ali Mansour Abudabous. The ceremony was also attended by the deans of the university faculties, directors of the several offices and centers of the university, faculty members, staff members, and students.
At the end of the ceremony, the University Award of Excellence and a Certificate of Appreciation were presented to Prof. Altaher Mustafa Alhubgi. Misurata University, represented by its president, Prof. Mohamed Abdullah Danfour, awarded him an honorary promotion on behalf of the university for his hard work and enormous efforts during his presidency.
